Try this memory trick!

1. Memorize the three types of rocks:
Igneous, Metamorphic, Sedimentary.

2. Memorize an example of each:
Mica, Feldspar, Shale.

3. Now, make up a silly sentence to remind you of the first letter of each word.

For example:
Ignore My Socks . . . My Feet Stink!
